People

I like to use a long lens to capture people lending to more candid images. At work or play, in large crowds or small gatherings, I am looking for expressions that portray emotions of the moment. More than just telling a story, the right image can evoke memories and feelings from the past.

Language and dialect vary throughout the world but we all share similar facial  expressions for happiness, joy, love, contemplation, annoyance, sadness, fear, desperation, wonder,  and indifference.

“Who were you in high school?”, an off-the-wall question I often toss out at the beginning of an interview works to get people to relax and open up.  I usually get a big smile and some interesting answers.
